President Deni asserted that the recent pressure placed on President Laftagareen is a clear indicator of the federal government's intent to dismantle the agreed-upon constitution and the federal system adopted under Somalia’s Third Republic. Addressing both the public and his security forces, he stated:
“The agenda is ‘let the federal administrations be destroyed’; let us prepare to defend and protect our areas.”
The President further elaborated that Villa Somalia has prioritized a plan to break down regional administrations in favor of a centralized "governorate-style" management, concentrating all authority within the Presidency in Mogadishu. Referencing recent statements from presidential advisors, he remarked:
“The words of Ali Wajiis, claiming to be an advisor to Hassan Sheikh regarding the destruction of Federalism and the centralization of power in Mogadishu, reflect exactly what Hassan Sheikh believes. I warn him against pursuing Hassan’s demands.”
Deni underscored his commitment to Puntland's sovereignty, declaring:
“As long as I am in office, it will never happen that our State power is destabilized from elsewhere.”
